Well the course that we run seems to be growing, starting with a few tentative volunteers, it is now very popular and we have a waiting list to join!! Everyone will have an oppurtunity to take part, at some point, but it's a good sign that the demand is high.
Next week we have the launch of the local Industry Alliance for Jobs showcase. Basically it means that Dundee college will be invaded by the troops as they see for themselves the various paths that a career within IT they can take. It should be a worthwhile and interesting event, Microsft, Cisco, Oracle will all be there, along with many others, as well as several software houses displaying the latest in games and technology.

And on we go...........
As the blog has developed, it seems the trainees have taken the lead and produced some really good blogs. Already three blogs stand out from the rest, but not that the others are worthy of less of a mention!!
Erik Zoha has been prolific in his blogging and has actively been updating his work. Erik left us some time ago, but has obviously been bitten by the blogging bug and kept going since he has moved on. Well done Erik, keep up the good work.
Jim Heary had very limited IT skills before he started on the course, but has since found a real talent for blogging. As with most of the students, he was encouraged to blog about something he had an interest in and develop that to produce content for a blog. Jim's passion was the XBOX 360 and he has produced an excellent blog that covers all aspects of that particular gaming platform.
Don Cockburn has produced a fine blog about his favourite pastime, Racing. This is a massive achievement due to the fact that Don has always been afraid of pc's, and has had alomost no experience, so the wuality of the work he has produced so far is really quite good.
Another example of a successful blog is the one administered by Steve Donaldson. Steve likes nothing more than to travel around Scotland with his family and enjoys the outdoor life. His blog is dedicated to the places in and around our beautiful country that he has visited.

Old Faces and New Minds
Once again it is time for a new group, this time however, there are a few familiar faces in the fold. Two of the guys that are here are from the very first group I worked with in this job, Hello Stevie and Jim!!
Hope fully they will do as well at this as they did in the groups we held before.
As I always say, but i mean it this time, I will try my best to keep the blog current and fill it with as much content as the trainees need.
